Paleo Nutella (Dairy and Refined Sugar-Free, Vegan & Raw)

Have you ever looked at the ingredients in a jar of nutella? It is loaded with sugar and hydrogenated oil! No thank you very much. While this paleo nutella doesn’t taste exactly like the original, it is a true nutritional powerhouse and still totally delicious!

Paleo Nutella (Dairy and Refined Sugar-Free, Vegan & Raw)


  • 1 1/2 cups Hazelnuts, soaked 8 hours and rinsed
  • 2 cups raw Cacao Powder
  • 1 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 cup date paste
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Water, as needed for blending and to achieve desired consistency


  1. Blend hazelnut in a food processor or Vitamix. Do not use a blender without a plunger as the mixture is very thick.
  2. Once well chopped, add remaining ingredients and thin with water as needed to achieve desired consistency. It will harden in the fridge, so the texture out of blender/food processor will be a bit like yogurt.
  3. Stores in fridge in a glass jar for up to 2 months.
