Have you ever looked at the ingredients in a jar of nutella? It is loaded with sugar and hydrogenated oil! No thank you very much. While this paleo nutella doesn’t taste exactly like the original, it is a true nutritional powerhouse and still totally delicious!
Paleo Nutella (Dairy and Refined Sugar-Free, Vegan & Raw)
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Hazelnuts, soaked 8 hours and rinsed
- 2 cups raw Cacao Powder
- 1 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1 cup date paste
- 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Water, as needed for blending and to achieve desired consistency
Instructions
- Blend hazelnut in a food processor or Vitamix. Do not use a blender without a plunger as the mixture is very thick.
- Once well chopped, add remaining ingredients and thin with water as needed to achieve desired consistency. It will harden in the fridge, so the texture out of blender/food processor will be a bit like yogurt.
- Stores in fridge in a glass jar for up to 2 months.
